Ten Days of Hosting

We hosted my parents and our friends, Steve and Amy, over the past two weekends. I ate my weight in everything and touristed Raleigh like a pro.

For now, I’m going to sit in the quiet chaos of my room and just be. Until the next time, here are some pictures:

Christmas, parents, and somehow Mom caught my catwalk.

It was ridiculously good to get parts of the LOST 2014 group together. I wish it could happen more often.

  1. I love hosting guests!! We actually move to a bigger house so that we can have a spare room as a guest room to host our family and friends!

    Lovely Christmas Tree!!!

    • I think once we move into a house, it will be easier. Our apartment fits two adults comfortably. It accommodates four pretty well, too, but I think we could stand to rearrange some things to make it more comfortable.

  2. Enjoy the rest! We had my aunt and uncle stay with us last Christmas for almost two weeks and it was exhausting to host… I had to take an extra week after the holidays just to recover!

    • It’s seriously taking time to recover. My guest room is my office space — you should have seen the wreck of laundry, christmas wrapping/gifts, and work chaos. It was intense. But I can see the floor as of today!

  3. Hosting is fun, I love guests, but it’s also exhausting. Enjoy your quiet chaos! Looks like some fun touring went on. Beautiful places!

      • I’m glad you think so. I’ve heard mixed reviews, but truly, from Zions to the Wasatch Mountains and their canyons, I love nature here!
