Long Term and Freelance

Today, I started my long-term substitute position in an elementary school library.  In case you start to think, oh, this means she is going to be lazy for the next month, let me inform you that I have six classes.  So far, they’ve all been freaking precious. I get to spend the day talking about fairy tales and different cultures. Why have I been so scared of elementary school kids for so long? They’re so sweet!  Well, at least the kindergarten through second graders are, because I haven’t had any of the older kids, yet.

I’ve also started freelance editing online for meager wages. This is something I’ve wanted to do since I graduated from college the first time. Why didn’t I start it then? My life would have been made so much easier.  Taxes will be harder, but I think it might be worth it.

This is looking like the start of something awesome.
